Founded in 2020, our business started with helping friends and family with their honey-do lists, and has since expanded to servicing a wider community in Southern Indiana. Striving to provide our clients with affordable and reliable home repair, renovations and maintenance services. Tired of seeing homeowners pay large amounts for the smallest of tasks from specialized companies, Helpful Home Services combined those companies into one. Michael Hacker (FOUNDER)

Started his working career as a groundskeeper after finishing high school. Later, joined a sign manufacturing company where he worked for eleven years. During this period, he gained a degree in visual communications and developed skills in customer service, sales, electrical work, fabrication, installation and design. He then joined a larger corporation and became part of the safety team, getting several OSHA certifications. There, he was responsible for maintaining two office buildings and a large shipping warehouse to ensure proper safety, building, and equipment functions.

From 2018 to 2020, it became common to receive requests for typical home repairs.

With the help of Chelsey Hacker (wife), Helpful Home Services was created as a side business.

By the end of 2022, the decision to make this growing “side business” a full-time career was made.

With over 100 New Customers gained just last year, goals are set high!
